For me, high school has been the best four years of my life. I do believe where I attend school has influenced this.
I go to East Lincoln High School in Denver, NC. We call the East Lincoln district Mustang Country. On a Friday night, whether you're at the football game or at the local cookout, you'll see mustang pride everywhere. Recently over the years our newest principal and assistant principals have worked very hard to create and keep a clean, friendly environment for students, staff, and visitors. The teachers at East Lincoln have played a major role in getting me to the academic level I am at today. They truly do care about their students and genuinely want us to succeed.
Most students leave high school after graduating thinking they are not prepared for the next chapter in their life. But for me, I feel like I am ready to pursue the next chapter in my life thanks to the staff that has helped me along with my high school career. East Lincoln High School is located in a small rural town outside of Charlotte, NC, a city that has been quickly been urbanized and the population has spread to the surrounding suburbs. The educational intentions by the management in Lincoln County's school district have slowly evolved to keep up with the increasing development of the area, but the residents who attend East Lincoln and other Lincoln County schools are not as easily adapted to the newer technology and curriculum that I believe is necessary to become a thoroughly educated student for college and career plans.

Although East Lincoln is catching up to ensure their students a quality education, I enjoyed the advanced classes that were offered. The memories that I made with my high school peers through classes, sports, and community events would not be the same without our experience at East Lincoln.
