Instructions for the obsolete but still quite widely owned Hinari MX707TC are extremely hard to find, although an owner's manual for the very similar MX708TC is available from for £6.99. I thought I would be public-spirited and post the basics - especially as the child-lock mechanism for these two models is unlike any other, and some people have been reduced to throwing their machines out because they had locked them accidentally and couldn't find out how to unlock them again.Much of the information given here is taken from a of the MX708CT, some from the Amazon advert for the MX707CT, some from and some from the MX708TC manual.

Enter the weight (in grams) on the number-pad and press Start and the microwave calculates how long it will take automatically. You can open the door while it is running and it will resume once you close it again.Jet Defrost - this is the more conventional version of defrosting in that you press it once, enter the required time on the number pad in minutes and seconds (so e.g. Five minutes is 500) and then press Start.Power - allows you to cook the food by a percentage of the 800 watt power ranging from 0% to 90% in multiples of 10, if you want to slow-cook something. When you've selected the desired time (and power-ratting if required) press Start.Memory - the microwave is capable of multi-stage cooking with the aid of this button. Say you wanted to defrost and then cook some frozen veg. Firstly press Jet Defrost and then the amount of time you want, then press the Time button to select the second stage and how long you want it for. Finally press the Memory button then the Start button to commence. You could also use it to cook food at two or more different power levels for the different stages.Express - one press of this will set the cooking time to 15 seconds and each further press will double the time, up to a maximum of two minutes.

Then press Start as usual.Clock - to set the correct time press Clock and then press Cancel. The clock screen resets to 0:00. Enter the time on a 0-12-hour system i.e. 8:15am and 8:15pm just look the same, and then press Clock again.Pressing the Clock button on its own just shows you the time.

Note that if the microwave is switched off at the wall it doesn't remember the correct time for very long, so the clock will probably have to be re-set.Pre-Set - enables you to set the microwave to start at some point in the future. Place the food in the microwave and then press the Pre-Set button. Now enter the time you want the food to start cooking followed by Start.Start - all the things you set the microwave to do won't start happening until you press Start.Cancel - stops the microwave in a hurry if something is over-cooking.When the cooking is finished the microwave bleeps three times. It will then give another three bleeps every two minutes until the door is opened.It also has a Child Lock which when activated will prevent the microwave from starting until it is unlocked.

5I do not know how true this next statement is, but a few months back I was told by Argos via email that if I required a replacement user guide for any product purchased from Argos to visit (not call) the nearest Customer Service Desk and they will gladly provide me with a replacement hard copy. I strongly suggest that you bring the bread maker with you along with any Argos proof of purchase you might have.
